So What Is Aqualyx?

AQUALYX™ is a safe, effective and long lasting injectable treatment developed for the non-surgical dissolution of localised, stubborn fat deposits, beneficial for body contouring and inner skin tightening.

The procedure involves administering AQUALYX™ directly into the subcutaneous fat tissue, breaking down the fat cells resulting in the body naturally releasing the fatty acids.

It is recommended for individuals with localised adipose tissue not responding to diet or increased physical exercise, it is not intended for weight loss. AQUALYX™ is most effective on small, exercise-resistant fat deposits such as the chin, arms, back, buttocks, legs, outer and inner thigh and stomach.

Results

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Expected adverse effects include swelling, slight bruising, hyperthermia of the injected area, haematoma, pressure sensitivity, moderate pain and itching within the treated area. Other possible adverse effects are discussed upon consultation.

Injection therapies carry an exceedingly small risk of damage of nervous tissue and nerves, as well as inflammatory reactions and infections that may result in irreversible scarring.

AM I SUITABLE?

Aqualyx is suitable for patients maintaining a healthy lifestyle and are close to their ideal body weight, but have localised adipose tissue not responding to diet or increased physical exercise.

For patients with 1.5cm or above subcutaneous adipose tissue.

Recommended for individuals over 18 years and under 60 years of age with good skin elasticity.

WHO ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO TREAT?

For medical reasons, we are unable to treat any of the following:

Pregnant or breastfeeding
Are under the influence of alcohol and drugs
Those with a pathological condition (Disease)
Are unwell on the day of the appointment
Those afflicted with serious organic or systemic diseases including auto immune diseases
Have a medical history of anaphylactic or serious allergic reactions
Anatomic areas where there is an inflammatory or infectious process e.g. acne, lipodystrophy, pathological conditions.
Have liver or kidney disease.

The treatment is not suitable as a weight loss method.

IS IT PAINFUL?

The procedure can be slightly uncomfortable, we always apply numbing cream prior the procedure for you.

Anesthesia is added to the solution for comfort.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

The speed at which results are seen varies for every individual. On average, you will see results anywhere between three and six weeks, and it is possibly to see ongoing improvements up to 6 months.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Between 30 minutes to 1 hour but this can vary depending on the treatment area.
