Thread lifting is a minimally invasive, relatively pain free, non surgical alternative to face lift surgery.
The procedure involves injecting a medical-grade, collagen promoting thread material into the subcutaneous fat layer beneath the dermis. Carefully tightened, the thread is supported in the skin by miniature barbs, achieving lift and tightening to excess skin.
Once the thread is settled, collagen production which is responsible for tension and firmness of the skin begins and continues for 6 months until the thread dissolves, holding the effects of skin rejuvenation, lift and tightening for up to 1-2 years.
Thread therapy is a skin rejuvenation and tightening treatment which involves injecting smooth threads (without barbs) to tighten the skin by producing collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. These can be used on any part of the face such as upper lip lines and frown lines, as well as a number of areas on the body.
If you are looking to achieve lift, tightening and skin rejuvenation without surgery and down time, threads may be the option for you.
Different types of threads provide different benefits from tightening the skin for a facelift effect to building collagen and holding moisture for skin rejuvenation.
Mono threads are a smooth thread used in thread therapy to increase collagen production, tighten skin, improve microcirculation and help with lymphatic drainage. They do not provide lifting effect.
Screw threads provide a gentle lifting effect whilst giving volume as well as all the same benefits of mono threads.
Cog threads are barbed threads that provide a significant lifting. These also have all the benefits of mono threads and are used for thread lifting techniques.
