What is Laser Hair removal?

Medical Grade & FDA Approved Machine

Laser hair removal is a safe and effective cosmetic treatment that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to target and reduce unwanted hair growth. The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair, damaging the hair follicle and slowing future growth.

To ensure the treatment is suitable for your skin and hair type, a patch test is required before your first session. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are typically needed for optimal and long-lasting results.

Our advanced technology and experienced team ensure a comfortable experience with visible results after each session.

Laser hair removal can cause some mild discomfort, as the treatment works by hearting the hair follicle to around 70°C to effectively disable it. It’s natural to feel some warmth or tingling sensation during the procedure.

To minimise discomfort, we use advanced technology that incorporates cooling systems, to keep the treatment area comfortable.

Laser hair removal typically requires 6 to 8 sessions for optimal, long-lasting results. This is because hair grows in cycles, and the laser is most effective during the active growth phase.

Laser hair removal offers long-lasting results and can significantly reduce hair growth, but its not considered 100% permanent.

More clients experience a dramatic and lasting reduction in hair growth, with many areas becoming virtually hair-free. However, top-up or maintenance sessions may be needed once ot twice a year.

Yes, you can shave between laser hair removal sessions, but it’s important to avoid waxing, plucking or using depilatory creams. Without the root, the laser can’t properly disable the follicle.

Shaving is the safest option – it keeps the hair follicle intact while maintaining smooth skin between sessions.

Its normal to experience some mild redness or sensitivity, like a light sunburn. These effects usually settle within a few hours to a couple of days.

Laser hair removal is most effective on darker, coarser hair. This is because dark hair contains more melanin, which absorbs the laser energy and allows it to destroy the hair follicle.

During your consultation your suitability will be carefully assessed.

  • Swelling (Perifollicular Edema)
